Heck, speaking of Misty, based on how disgusted she was with a similar character, Giselle, picking on Joe in School of Hard Knocks, there’s definitely no way Misty would be friends with or even associate with Naru at all (and Naru’s even worse than Giselle since at least Giselle learned the error of her ways in the end of her episode).
And I don’t think she ever actually supported Keitaru at all, while Misty at least cared enough about Ash even WITH her fiery temper to actually ATTEMPT to help him multiple times whenever he needed it, same goes for her helping Brock and Tracey. Honestly, her going for Keitaru was tasteless. Was not fond of Naru at all, ESPECIALLY after learning of her status as a domestic abuser played in a positive light. Honestly, to me, an adult woman, beating up a man who’s done nothing wrong makes you look absolutely pathetic. And most especially, don’t beat up anyone if they’ve done nothing to deserve it. Seriously, don’t treat your partner like shit. You can honestly hope that such people would just grow up and realize that they are a tiny speck in the universe rather than the universe revolving around them but sadly that’s when you remember maturity has nothing to do with age. Seriously, the phrase “It takes two to tango” exists for a reason: both parties have to contribute to the relationship.īut of course, because this is Tumblr, it’s filled with Tumblrinas who think that beating a man for no reason makes you a “queen” when in reality if they keep their shitty attitudes up towards other people… If Naru truly loved Keitaro, she’d stop being such a bitch and change her abusive attitude. (I think it was from Volume 12, can’t exactly recall: it’s been ages since I read Love Hina. I even cheered for Kanako when she punched Naru in the face. I remember that I didn’t care as long as it wasn’t Naru - Mutsumi and Shinobu were my highest choices, but I didn’t mind Motoko, Kitsune or Kanako. Hell, I’m quite tickled pink that Western fans, in general, hate her guts and wanted Keitaro to end up with somebody else. I’m glad that I’m not the only one who hates Naru Narusegawa (I have no idea who Louise is, sorry).
For some reason, Japan is really into tsundere characters while the reception of them is less than stellar in the West. There are some good tsundere characters like Romano/South Italy from Hetalia, Marie from Persona 4: Golden, and Ranmaru Kurosaki and Tokiya Ichinose from Uta no Prince-sama, but the problem of most tsundere is that their characterization is flanderized and pretty badly, too. Do we really have to smack the bitch to get the bitch to realize how much of a bitch she is? Is that how low humanity’s gotten now? Gotta resort to immediate violence rather than talking now? I really hope somebody eventually gives your cousin a piece of their mind.
